A simple guide to GeneaDesk, troubleshooting tips and an optional way to support further development.
GeneaDesk is developed for free. If it saves you time or helps with FamilySearch materials, you can support further development.
Support is optional and does not change account limits or features.

Use Google or a one-time email code.
Open the film and a single scan. You do not need to paste a link into GeneaDesk.
Blank “From” means the current scan. Blank “To” means the end of the film, as far as the current quota allows.
On the first download, allow multiple downloads in Chrome. If Chrome asks where to save every file, turn that option off in download settings.
Open a single scan. If the range exceeds the current quota, GeneaDesk will show the maximum range available now.
Check Chrome’s multiple-download prompt and click “Allow”. Also turn off the option asking where to save each file.
If FamilySearch says downloading is disabled because of access or contractual restrictions, GeneaDesk will not start downloading that set.
The GeneaDesk account or device state changed. A revoked device must be restored by the administrator.
GeneaDesk can show Offline when the API is temporarily unreachable. This is not the same as an account block.
Include your GeneaDesk version, Chrome version, short reproduction steps and a screenshot. In GeneaDesk open Details → Diagnostic data and use Copy report.
Do not include passwords, login codes or personal data from genealogy records.
